COLORFY – Official Release Date & BETA Testing

Great News, everyone!!! TESTING: COLORFY has just entered the Second-Stage Beta testing phase of development! This is a limited Beta test that mainly focuses on balance and tuning. Almost all of the bugs were ironed out in the Alpha and First-Stage Beta testing (that’s where the testers just try to BREAK the game!!! Pretty intense sometimes), so it’s all looking pretty good. Took a while to get here, but has been worth it so far from all the positive feedback we’ve been receiving. RELEASE DATE: We know!!! THIS is the news you’ve been waiting for! Nearly there!

So, updating the art style has been really exciting and laborious. But it looks to be paying off well. Everything looks much sharper and more colorful (which is what we were going for). Also, we believe we are ready to run to Kickstarter campaign (FINALLY!). The real time-killer was in the decision to let other artists showcase their art and\or music in Colorfy. Getting the game and the engine ready to accept the wide variety of formats we may receive as a result of the campaign (to minimize conversions as much as possible) has been intense, but a good workout for us. Gearing up for Kickstarter

It’s been interesting preparing our Colorfy Kickstarter campaign. Making sure that we have good rewards and lots of opportunity for people to get involved has been fun. The challenge has been in how to properly represent Colorfy without a gameplay video. A video at this stage would misrepresent the final product we’re shooting for (The art style is getting overhauled). So, we’re trying to figure out how to do that well. Should be fun.
